Raw Stories isn’t just another wedding photography brand — it's an emotive storyteller. Each shoot captures unscripted, intimate moments that feel real, raw, and cinematic. To reflect that, the website had to go beyond aesthetics — it had to evoke emotion and create trust within seconds.

Target Audience: Their clientele is modern, detail-driven, and emotionally invested in their wedding journey. Mostly millennial couples aged 25–35, who value artistic storytelling over staged photos. They often find photographers via Instagram, referrals, or Google, and expect a seamless digital experience.

Industry Insights:

  • 80% of couples explore at least 5 photography websites before reaching out.

  • Emotion-led visual storytelling increases conversion rates on portfolio sites by up to 34%.

  • Booking inquiries typically happen after a positive visual + UX + social proof combination.

  • Immersive visual layouts (like full-screen galleries & reels)

  • Authentic brand copy (not salesy)

  • Subtle but effective CTAs ("Start Your Story", “Let’s Capture Yours”)

  • Lead magnets (e.g., free shoot guides or pricing PDFs for email)

We chose Framer as the development platform to deliver a site that’s not only visually immersive but also fast to build, easy to update, and optimized for conversion. Framer’s no-code capabilities allowed us to rapidly translate design ideas into a responsive, high-performing website — perfect for a brand like Raw Stories that thrives on visual storytelling.

Given that Instagram is the primary lead source, the website was designed to seamlessly support mobile-first users arriving via social links. From fluid transitions to fast-loading image galleries, every element was crafted to keep attention and guide users toward inquiry. We implemented frictionless lead capture with simple, elegant forms and ensured all contact points were easily accessible across devices.

Framer’s flexibility also allowed us to build a backend that empowers the Raw Stories team — enabling them to update content, showcase new weddings, or tweak text without relying on developers. The result is a site that feels bespoke, yet agile — combining the artistic vision of the brand with the practical demands of a modern, growth-focused business.

We used Framer to craft an immersive, storytelling-first experience — one that mirrors the emotional journey Raw Stories captures through the lens. The website opens in black and white, anchored by a cinematic video reel that sets a moody, timeless tone. As the user scrolls, the monochrome world begins to shift — gradually revealing full-color photography, symbolizing the unfolding of real moments and emotions.

This scroll-based narrative flow is not just aesthetic — it's intentional. It invites users into a story, guiding them from curiosity to connection. Every interaction feels seamless and responsive, optimized for mobile-first users arriving via Instagram, the brand’s primary lead channel.

Framer’s no-code development framework allowed us to build this experience quickly, while maintaining creative control over animations, transitions, and visual cues. It also gave the Raw Stories team the flexibility to manage and update their content independently, without compromising design integrity.

The result is a living portfolio that not only showcases the work — it feels like the work: raw, emotional, and real.
